With a passion for art that was realised after painting shacks in Soweto, Nkuly Ree is a talented artist to be reckoned with. At the tender age of 10 she started painting and decorating other student’s projects to earn herself some coins and put bread on the table. On weekends she would visit her father, Mr Peter Sibeko who owned Soweto Art Gallery in Johannesburg, where he introduced her to artists like Solomon Sikhaelelo, David Mbele, Godfery Ndaba and many more within the space.
